They did it!

Haspa Hamburg has set a new Garmin Round Denmark Race Inshore record, beating the previous time by more than five and a half hours.

Max and his crew completed the course in an impressive 85 hours, 33 minutes and 34 seconds. A huge congratulations to the entire team on this outstanding achievement!

Once engraved, the crew will receive a Garmin MARQ Captain watch in recognition of the new record. Haspa Hamburg also claimed Line Honours in the Fully Crewed category, earning another Garmin watch.

Earlier this afternoon, Isfuglen crossed the finish line in Aarhus after a tough and determined race aboard the trimaran. The crew secured Line Honours in the Multihull category and was also awarded a Garmin watch. A fantastic performance and a well-deserved prize!

Medvind and Rentnerbank followed shortly afterwards, completing their GRDR26 adventure in Aarhus. Like every sailor who finishes the race, they received a GRDR26 finisher’s tin cup and a Garmin drybag.

Out on the course, TRI has now left Gedser and is back racing, heading north towards the Little Belt.

Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed “Bornholm Fleet”, consisting of XAR, Wuchtbrumme and Antoinette, decided to stage a restart from Bornholm at 20:00 this evening. All three boats are now back underway, with VoXeværk and Flecha following close behind.

Unfortunately, the singlehanded entry Modesty retired from the race during the day. A huge thank you to skipper Peter for taking part in GRDR26!
