The Day Before....

Garmin Round Denmark Race 2026 is ready for the start signal!

Thursday marked the final day of preparations for the participants in the Garmin Round Denmark Race. The boats were prepared, the final details were checked, and the sailors took part in the skippers’ meeting and Sail Away Dinner at Aarhus International Sailing Center.

On Friday, 24 July, the race around Denmark begins:

• Single Handed starts at 10:00

• Double Handed and Fully Crewed start at 14:00

  
  

The Double Handed and Fully Crewed classes will sail the approximately 680-nautical-mile course non-stop. The Single Handed sailors must take a minimum eight-hour rest after no more than 36 hours of sailing.

Both starts can be watched from Aarhus International Sailing Center.

“The atmosphere among the sailors on the dock today has been extremely positive, and everyone is ready for the adventure ahead, whether they are sailing alone or together with others. We are looking forward to another fantastic race around Denmark,” says Event Manager at Aarhus International Sailing Center, Søren Ilsø Mahneke.
