Fully Crewed, Double Handed and Multi-hull winners

This morning the first crews returned to Aarhus after their trip around Denmark, and it was not suprising the 4-boats who have been battling each other the last couple of days.

'Tri' first back

The first boat to cross the finish line at Aarhus International Sailing Center was the trimaran 'Tri' with the father-son-duo and GRDR-veterans Lars and Jon Kaempfe. 4 days, 14 hours, 20 minutes and 43 seconds it took them to go the course of nothern europes toughest challenge.

They had this to say upon mooring in Aarhus:

""It was a good trip, but tough. The waves south of Bornholm were not normal — about 2.5 meters and very short intervals, combined with strong wind, made it very challenging. And we thought we would be in last night, so having to go through another night was also tough. But nothing has broken, and now we’re here, even as winners, so we’re happy."

Fully Crewed 'Line of Honor' goes to 'Joy'

In the Fully Crewed discipline Remi Provost with his crew of 5 people is the second boat in Aarhus and the first Fully Crewed. It took them 4 days, 15 hours, 1 mintus and 6 seconds.

Skipper Remi Provost shares his thoughts on their trip around:

"It was a close race – for an hour and a half south of Funen, the lead changed ten times between us and the surrounding boats. The sailing was incredibly intense all the way around, with highs and lows. At one point, we tried sailing with three headsails, which unexpectedly worked. We fought all the way, and there was great motivation and good spirits among the crew, so overall, it was a really good experience."

Close battle for the double handed finish

'Frida' and 'Beluga' was fighting all the way to Aarhus, to see who was the fastest over the line. 'Frida' took the win with 18 minutes space down to 'Beluga'.

Skipper on 'Beluga' Anders Johansen had this to say:

"It’s been an amazing trip! There was just a quarter of an hour north of Helsingør I could have done without, when the rain was pouring down with thunder. But the trip towards Bornholm was full speed ahead. We were flying along. The weather conditions have been perfect, and we’re not even completely worn out this time. Just such an awesome trip."
