First Entry: Former GRDR-winners back for more

Updated: Dec 7, 2024

It’s official: the first entry for the Garmin Round Denmark Race 2025 is in, and it’s none other than the dynamic Polish duo, Kuba Szymanski and Maciek Lato!

The two sailors made waves in 2023, clinching victory in the Offshore-route of the doublehand discipline. Now, they’re back for another daring adventure—but this time, they’re swapping open seas for tactical coastal racing as they take on the Inshore-route in their First 40.7, Polished Manx.

When asked why they’re returning to the race, Kuba and Maciek said it best:

"Because we love Denmark and its waters. Because of the very friendly atmosphere. And because of the cracking opposition who was kind enough to let us win last time!"

Kuba and Maciek are eager to conquer new challenges in one of Europe’s most iconic sailing competitions. The shorter inshore course may have less distance, but it’s no less demanding, with its tight navigation and high-stakes decision-making.

Will their winning chemistry carry them to another triumph? One thing’s for sure: this race is shaping up to be a spectacle you won’t want to miss.

Join Kuba and Maciek and get your 25 % discount on entry fee for the rest of 2024!
