Martin Schulz from Flensburg is set to take on Garmin Round Denmark Race 2026, entering the around Denmark course in the Double Handed division aboard Antoinette, a Winner 12.20. Sailing together with co-skipper Mathis, Schulz brings both experience and perspective to one of Northern Europe’s most demanding inshore races.

“Ever since I read an article about a race around Denmark in a 2006 issue of the German yachting magazine, I've had the idea of participating in such a race. After several Silverrudder races, this year's timing is perfect for taking part in the GRDR. Together with my Co-Skipper Mathis, we're approaching the challenge of the race with respect and are especially looking forward to the long time at sea,” says Martin Schulz.
That background makes this entry a natural next step. After building experience in short-format endurance racing, Schulz now turns toward the longer rhythm and tactical demands of GRDR26. For the crew of Antoinette, the race is not only about performance, but also about meeting the course with preparation, patience and respect.
With Flensburg as home port, Schulz and Mathis add another strong Northern European crew to the 2026 entry list. Their campaign reflects the mix of ambition and seamanship that defines GRDR26 and makes it a highlight of the Nordic sailing scene.
