Brian and Dorthe’s New Boat Takes on the Garmin Round Denmark Race 2025

What’s the best way to break in a new boat? If you’re Brian and Dorthe, you take it on the ultimate challenge: the Garmin Round Denmark Race 2025!

The duo has just acquired a new Dragonfly 28, Elmo, and they’re gearing up to test its mettle in one of the most demanding races in Northern European waters.

Brian shared their excitement about the race and their goals for this year’s adventure:

"We signed up for the GRDR because we love sailing, and adding a bit of competition makes it even more fun. We’ve been wanting to take on this challenge since it began, and this year we decided it was time to go for it. It will definitely be the longest distance we’ve ever sailed in one go, so this will also be a test for us. Our goal is to finish in Aarhus, and hopefully in a good time." – Brian Kjærskov Nielsen

Brian and Dorthe’s enthusiasm is contagious, and we’re excited to see them take on the GRDR challenge in August. For them, it’s not just about the race—it’s about testing their limits and experiencing the thrill of sailing through Denmark’s unpredictable waters.

We’ll be cheering for Elmo as they set sail, both at the start and at the finish line in Aarhus!
